     Class Schedule . . .                               Follup Chart
The effectiveness of the Creighton Model System is dependant upon keeping to the  follow-up schedule.  The only real "class" is the group Introductory Session, which lasts about 90 minutes and includes a slide show and time for group discussion and signing up.  This Introduction can be presented privately, so if there's no convenient group session available, please call and make an appointment for a private one.

Couples,  who decide to learn CrMS, take home an Introductory Booklet, chart and stamps and make an appointment for their first private follow-up, two weeks hence.

The booklet guides  them as they begin to chart, so that they jump right in and begin "learning by doing".  All couples will need to abstain until their second follow-up, even if they are using CrMS to achieve a pregnancy.  In addition to ensuring there will be no worries about
unintentionally achieving a pregnancy while learning CrMS,  this time of abstinence  is a time  when the couple can relax and focus on developing new routines for observing, charting and communicating with each other about their fertility.    Mistakes  are to be expected and will be dealt with at the early follow-ups before the couple resumes relations (assuming they are married).

The follow-up schedule begins with one hour follow-ups every two weeks for the first two months of charting.  In this way, the woman can quickly gain confidence in her ability to recognize her signs of fertility.  The sidebar to the right shows how the other four follow-ups are scheduled.   After the teaching year is over, it's still good to occasionally show the chart to a FertiltiyCare Practitioner, especially if there's been a change  such as pregnancy, breastfeeding or perimenopause, etc.
